I believe in resistance to your power, ie, if you want to turn hard, go ahead, my boards are designed to love you back.
I use a constant curve in both the planshape and the bottom curve. I don’t believe in radical changes in either curve. I like subtlety, and use that in all designs, including my concave, deepest under your front foot running into a slight spiral vee and double concave around your back foot area to promote rail to rail surfing.

I first did one of these boards in Bob McTavish’s garage in 74’, inspired by George Greenough. It has an incredible feel, with your back foot planted in the board. The concave is only in the back ⅖” of your deck, so the foam is gone where you don’t want it. The rest of the deck is slightly rolled to give you foam under your chest, where you need it for paddling. The rail line doesn’t change, only the stringer or middle of the board.
